The reason I didn't fully test it was because of setup problems and recommendations by the server company. The server company said they saw more breeches in security vulnerabilities with Joomla than any other application. So... I have used it before and thought it was user friendly - im not a programmer either - although my site was pretty simple - you can add on modules etc if you need bells and whistles have you ever tried joomla?
